The Most Rev. Dr. Katharine Jefferts Schori, to visit the Diocese of West Missouri during its 2008 Convention to be held in Kansas City on October 24 and 25.

MOVIE NIGHT-September 19, Featuring "Immortal Beloved"

Movie night is scheduled for Friday, September 19th. Snacks at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will begin at 7:00 p.m. This month's feature is "Immortal Beloved".

Calvary Choir will have its first rehearsal on Wednesday, September 3rd at 7:00 p.m. 

"A Meditation Group at Calvary", by Fr. Bill

Meditation opens us to the generosity of God that surrounds us in the moment. We realize that God is creating us in the present moment, and we awaken to the intuitive mystery of God that comes to us in the grace of the moment. This is how Jesus lived. 

I plan this fall to begin a mindfulness mediation group. I will soon announce when we will have our first meeting.

Canterbury Book Club

The Canterbury Book Club is for women who love to read. This ecumenical club is open to all, so bring a friend!. The book to be discussed at the Tuesday, September 16th, is "Peace Like A River", by Leif Enger. By purchasing your book at the link below, you'll help to fund church programs like this one. N.E.W.S. will resume meetings on September 8th, 2008

All women of the parish are invited to join us for our dinner meeting at 6:15 p.m.! This month we will be meeting at Kehde's Barbeque. 

Relaxation Yoga

Our co-ed Relaxation Yoga classes, taught by Nikki Funk, have resumed after a winter hiatus.  Join us, and increase your strength and flexibility as you step away from life's daily stresses and allow your body to relax. Sessions (Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.), cost just $3 per person.
